Russian WW2 Aircraft

Russian WW2 Aircraft 3D print model

Description

They may not be pretty, but these rugged warplanes will give the people’s army Air Force what they need to stand up to fascist aggression, and make Uncle Joe proud.

I recommend downloading and printing the free WW2 training aircraft models first to see how they go before purchasing these aircraft. If they print successfully the other WW2 aircraft collections should be able to print just fine.

Models are created and intended to be printed in 1:285 scale, they should be printable larger, but likely won't work smaller than this. I printed them using a Prusa i3 Mk3. I recommend slicing with Cura and using tree supports. You'll likely get the best results using the .STLs of the planes that are sliced in half (labeled L or R in the folders). I find leaving a small gap equal to the size of my extruder nozzle diameter between the brim and the model in the slicer settings creates a nice clean edge when printing the left and right sides of each aircraft. Some aircraft have nacelles that must be glued on after printing. They are separate from the rest of the model because this results in better print orientation and a cleaner model.

I'm finding that Cura 5.0.0 has trouble slicing thin wings, so I recommend Cura 4.9.0 instead.
