3D model description

This model is a high quality, recreation of the Mosin Nagant rifle featured in Metal Gear Solid 3, Measuring at around 4 foot long, this model is split up for large format 3d printers such as a cr10, and is sliced to be as clean as possible for , and was designed to be a simple build. Further slicing may be required to fit on your printer ! There are built in connections, separate connection pieces, and slots for reinforcement/alignment rods. (the needed rods and sizes listed below). The gun is also designed in a way that it can be broken apart into 2 main sections for easy transportation/storage, the handguard section is attached to the receiver through a single bolt and nut.

(1/4inch nut and rounded .75 inch long flathead screw, heat up the nut and inset it in its slot as its intentionally smaller than a 1/4inch nut).

The rod holes are modeled in to allow for:
2x 4 inch long 4mm rods (carbon fiber) (strengthen the pistol grip and connect it to the receiver)
1x 3.25 inch long 4mm rod (carbon fiber) (strengthen the small rod at the end of the gun)
1x 8 inch long 4mm rod (carbon fiber) (strengthen the handguard)
1x 20.5 inch long 7/16 wood dowel (strengthen handguard and barrel)

3D printing settings

slice the parts further if needed, otherwise just print them the best way you feel fit. most parts should be printed vertically for best results and easiest finishing, a lot of parts will require supports, i do recommend not putting supports inside the rod holes for the wood dowels and such.
