Telescoping Display Lightsaber

Telescoping Display Lightsaber 3D print model

Description

This is a telescoping display lightsaber, partially inspired by Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsaber. This design is not incredibly robust and may break if it is used heavily. For that reason, this is more of a display or prop lightsaber than a toy. This lightsaber was designed to be printed on smaller printers so many of the pieces screw together.

Print Instructions

  • Material: PLA or PETG (for extra strength)
  • Supports: Yes
    • Middle hilt pieces
    • Hilt bottom
    • Hilt crystal
    • Other pieces may require supports depending on your specific printer
  • Orientation: Print everything vertically

Assembly (process shown in pictures)

  • Slide the individual blade sections into each other
  • Place the blade inside half of the hilt middle and then screw the other half onto the first half, with the blade inside
  • Screw the hilt top onto the hilt middle
  • Place the crystal inside the hilt bottom
  • Screw the hilt bottom onto the hilt middle
