Description

This is a 12 ball puzzle that is similar to a Rubik's Cube. The objective of this puzzle is to twist the two halves and maneuver the marbles, to organize the marbles in the solved state shown in the photos. The puzzle has been solved when there are three marbles of the same color in each channel. When the puzzles unsolved, each channel can have 2 to 4 marbles in it.

Print Instructions

  • Material:
    • The body of the puzzle in the marbles can be printed in PLA or PETG (for extra strength)
    • The pin itself needs to be strong, so use PETG or another strong material
  • Supports:
    • The body itself should not require supports
    • The pin will require supports
    • The marbles will require supports
  • Orientation:
    • Print the body logo side up (as shown in the files)
    • Print the pin on its side (as shown in the files) for the most strength
    • The orientation of the marbles do not matter because they are spherical

  • Marbles (12X) (The more colors you print marbles in, the more difficult the puzzle gets. The maximum amount of different colors suggested to use, for the marbles, is four.)
  • 5mm X 2mm magnets (8X) (make the puzzle run smoother, but are optional)

Assembly

  • Decide on the difficulty of your puzzle
    • The more colors you print your marbles in, the more difficult the puzzle will be
    • If you print your marbles in all one color, the puzzle is more of a fidget toy
    • If you print your marbles in two different colors, the puzzle is relatively difficult to solve
    • If you print your marbles in four sets of three marbles, with all the sets being different colors, the puzzle gets even harder to solve
  • Puzzle assembly
    • Put magnets in the eight magnet holes of the body, ensuring that the polarities lineup (optional)
    • Put your marbles in both halves of the puzzle (make sure you assemble the puzzle solved, to ensure that the puzzle is solvable)
    • Hammer the pin into one of the puzzles body halves
    • Put the other half of the body onto the pin
    • Squish the entire puzzle together, ensuring that no marbles fallout
