Las Bolter Weapon Set

Wanted a gun that acted like one gun but fired like another and looked like another? Well say no more!

“The Las Bolter is a cross design between a Bolter and a Lasgun, acting as a bridge between the guns that focuses on the best of both guns. It can fire the same way either in short bursts or rapid successions. The weapon fires laser bolts instead of laser beams, similar to a DC-15 and the E-11 blaster weapons from old Terran media, which allows not only for the gun to recharge, but also gives the added bonus to not burn through power packs as fast as an ordinary lasgun during a conflict. This is possible thanks to the combination of both plasma and laser technology.

Due to it’s hybrid nature, the weapon has an effect similar to both a Plasma weapon and a Laser based weapons, as it has been known to cause significant burns and can scorch light armor targets, but burn through heavy armor with charged shots, similar to plasma weapons, but without the added risk of the gun overheating or possible exploding from being overcharged. The weapon also has been noted to act like a bolter and cause explosive damage, when shots are charged and fired in a semi auto burst. It completely shattered through the armor of enemy personnel, and turned the wearer into a pulverized mess, similar to a bolter round. Although the projectile is not as accurate as the coherent laser line beams fired from its laser gun, slightly weaker than a plasma gun due to how it functions and fires, its damage is stronger than a lasgun, and on par to a bolter, albeit when fired in short succession.

After being given approval from the mechanicus, the weapon was issued out to be used by the imperium in small quantities for testing. Some Imperial Guard regiments have chosen this weapon, due it’s recharge rate, not burning through ammo as rapidly or often, and being able to fire in more rapid succession. Even a few Space Marine chapters chose this weapon to use in combat, as it is not as heavy as a bolter, and can function like a bolter, but also as a pseudo plasma gun, which cuts out the need for the plasma combi bolter. Whether or not this weapon will see mass production or end up completely shelved, is only for time to tell.” Imperial weapon historian.

The design of this weapon set was sparked from the idea of a lasgun/bolter like weapon that can function similar to the weapons from Star Wars, but with an interesting twist. I originally was going to use this solely for personal projects, but decided that this is something I wanted to share with the world, so that others can be inspired and make designs from ideas similar to mine.

There are about 8 variations of the carbine, and rifle, but only four in regards to the pistol, since its size limits what I can work with.

I will be posting the digital set here for those who have 3D printers. And the physical copies can be brought from my shape ways for those who do not have a printer at home.

All weapons are scaled to be used with Firstborn Space Marines, and the old Horus Heresy sets.
