3D model description

Destiny Battle Axe

All the parts can be printed without support.

The parts are scaled such that one half of the axe can be printed on an Ender 3.

The left and right parts of the axe head are joined by 3/4 inch UPC pipes for rigidity.

The main parts are connected by 1 inch UPVC pipe (1.5 ft and 2.25 ft segments).

Refer the pipe dimension image for reference.

Axe head halves: Printed with 0.6 mm nozzle with 0.28 layer height and 15% infill for the .

Other parts: Printed with 0.6 mm nozzle with 0.2 layer height and 10% infill.

Material used: Petg

Quantity: Approximately 1 kg

Time: Approximately 1.5 days with 2 printers

Post Printing: The 2 halve were joined using ΒΎ inch pipes in the middle and glues together using epoxy. The line where the joint is was filled with putty or wood filler and sanded. Once the axe head was ready, sanded the parts roughly to maintain a rugged finish. Applied 2 coats of plastic primer followed by matte black > Metallic silver > Matte clear.

Chain: I used about 6.5 ft of the chain and glued it carefully with epoxy after painting was done.

Pipes: I used 2 segments (1.5 ft for top and 2.25 ft for bottom) of 1 inch UPVC pipe. The fit can be a little tight/loose based on your printer configuration. See pipe dimension image for the size reference.
