3D model description

This is just for test printing purposes. I have only included the head, leaf spring and pea ammo

If everything works and your interested in printing the entire modle, check it out on cults3D here...

Get yourself ready for the zombie apocalypse with these amazing pea shooters that actually work!

Not only does the pea shooter look good, but the pea can be shot out!

Just press the pea in the shooters mouth firmly, wedging it in place, then place index and middle fingers towards the front of the head, press the leaf spring with your thumb to send the pea shooting out.

I find myself chasing peas around the room only to load them up again and send them flying out. It’s a strange addiction, but so much fun!!

I created these after my piranha plant and sunflower designs. It uses the same base so you can store pea ammo in the pot.

Sweet!! Store your pea in the pot! Haha

Although there is an internal spring it’s the friction of the pea pressed in place then pushed out that launches the pea.

Every piece can be rotated on your build plate to be printed without supports, and the entire model can be printed out with your basic single extruder printer, so it’s a relatively easy print.
I do however load “Main Head” and “Leaf spring 1 piece” together on the build plate in Cura, right click to select all models, then merge the two together. Then rotate the model 90 degrees. You will need to add supports just under the leaf spring if printing both at the same time in this fashion.

I use a dual extruder printer to load different colors in for the leaf spring and main head, but you can print both at the same time, with a single extruder printer with the directions described above.
I have, accidently pressed some peas too hard into the shooters mouth and inadvertently broken the leaf spring trying to shoot it out, so I included a split leaf spring for those needed repairs in the cults3D download. Just print the two parts and assemble them inside the main head.

If the pea is too tight or loose you can scale it up or down 1 or 2 % respectively. Everyone’s printer tolerances are different.

Assembly on the model should be fairly simple once all the pieces are printed out, but if you have any questions, please let me know.

I can’t recommend 3D Gloop enough, but if you only have super glue, it should work as well.

Thanks for checking out my design and happy printing!!
