1/24 Scale Ford Big Block (FE) V8 Stock Base Engine

The Ford Big Block, also known as the FE-series, replaced the Y-Block series of motors, and saw use from 1964 to 1978. This series of motors were what carried Ford in the racing world, and found use in Mustangs, GT-40's, Cobras, as well as mid-size and large cars.

This file pack contains all the necessary files to build up a stock Ford Big Block (FE) motor. This file pack resembles a base model Ford motor with a 2bbl Autolite Carburetor and intake manifold, stock truck-style exhaust, and stock intake. There are over 20 individual files included in this file pack, including optional parts! For stock valve covers, there are multiple options; A smooth valve cover, FORD-text, as well as 'Power by Ford' text.

This file pack contains all necessary base-engine parts for other Scale Auto Model Works Ford Big Block (FE) engine upgrade packs.

For those that like to wire up their engine, this file pack includes a hollowed distributor, and the engine block and heads already have the spark plug holes modeled in to drastically simplify the wiring process! Simply cut the 32 AWG wires of your choice, glue them into the distributor, then run them into the block! The block is hollow, allowing excess wire to be simply pushed in! No need for trimming to proper lengths.

All files are optimized for printing. Many, such as the block, oil pan, and valve covers, are hollowed out to minimize resin use.
