3D model description

How can we use plastic to reduce the plastic usage? In this bottle you can fill shampoo, soap, cleaning products, water or many other liquids, so that you use it as many times as you can, buying only the refil later.

You will download the skull in two different sizes. The big one can fit almost one liter of liquids.

There is a thread on the top, where you can fit a soap dispenser pump or a spray from many different brands found on a regular supermarket. Even some caps from other bottles are fitting here. I guess there are dozens of products with this size in the supermarkets. In one of the pictures I used a pump from a "Palmolive SoftSoap" that I can find in almost any supermarket in Europe, US and Brazil. Probably other countries too, although I can't comfirm by myself. The other picture with the spray I just reused from some cleaning product I found at home... Specially the sprays, all I had at home were just fitting in.

3D printing settings

First of all, you don't need any supports, independent of the printer you are using. I tried the big one with a FDM Printer (Sygma R19) and there were very few hanging lines. It was not even necessary to cut them out. With a Resin printer it comes out just perfect out of the printer. But it sticks so strongly on the platform, that I use around half of the time for curing the first layers, compared to what is recommended by the manufacturer. An option is just to add supports on the bottom, lifting it around 8mm from the base, but don't rotate it in X or Y directions, so that you keept it free of supports in the interior and on the sides.

Both printings on these pictures are made with a resin printer. Right after removing from the printer, I added curing light in order to keep the shiny texture. Only then I washed the interior with alcohol and that's it!!! Be carefull to wash the interior properly, or it will get a horrible smell from the resin. The best is to use a plant based or water soluble resin if you want to add a liquid soap inside. You can get a horrible allergic reaction if you don't properly wash it.

With a FDM printer you don't have this problem. I printed several times with PETG and ASA.
