US Modern Fuel Can

Standard plastic fuel can of the U.S. Military used in present times.
The design was made based on actual military standard with all details optimized to be noticeable at 1:35 scale, but it can be printed at any other scale with very good results.

23.02.2023 Update: 3 additional variants are added. V1 & V2 no longer includes the smallest letters and contain only the "Warning" sign, this variants allow to improve printing results at small scales and/or with low resolution printers.
V2 & V3 includes separate caps, this feature allow to print both parts separately to improve the overall quality.
Caps and fuel can body can be press-fitted together, but a small amount of glue is recommended.

Summary of the design variants:
- Original: includes all raised words and integrated cap
- V1: only "Warning" raised word and integrated cap
- V2: all raised words and separated cap
- V3: only "Warning" raised word and separated cap

The showed print examples corresponds with 1:35 scale with minimum supporting to ease cleaning process.

Printed with Anycubic Photon 4K + Anycubic water washable resin.
- Exposure time: 2.4 s
- Bottom exposure time: 40s
- Layer height: 0.03 mm

Best results were achieved in vertical position with layer height of 0.03 mm. Layer height of 0.05 mm also shows very good results with some layer lines only noticeable in the cap area.

The fuel can is modelled at real size so it can be adapted to any desired scale, but details are optimized for 1:35 or bigger.

• 1:35 - 13.30 mm
• 1:48 - 9.69 mm
• 1:72 - 6.46 mm
