3D model description

Maverick, the Topgun crossover figure is an excelent jetformer, based off the F14 Tomcat, he has great robot and jet modes, an intricate, but not frustrating transformation, and the CLEANEST underside i've seen on a jet for a very long time.
Shame he's such a nobody.

Since the Tonka/HannaBarbara Gobots have been folded into the Transformers universe, We have yet to see a Leader One toy, which is a shame, because this toy would have been perfect for it.

This replacement head recreates the iconic look from the show, with visual keys from the figure used to make sure it matches. This is the first Leader 1 upgrade kit for a transformer since the Classics starscream.

I would specifically aim to resin print this, and if you can, in transparent yellow, painting it all except the visor, to make the most of the design.

UPDATE!
The original head looked great, but was very tight for transformation, and if you were resin printing, was more liable to snap at the balljoint.
The file LEADER1fin is smaller, has a redesigned skullcap to allow it to sit easier in jetmode, and has a channel in the balljoint to let you inset a pin/nail (and then sand flat) to reinforce the neck.

I also found that you can take out the front canopy by just undoing the two screws in Maverick's nosecone, allowing you to paint the front faring red, to better represent his "belt" from the original toy/show!

I may be creating thigh, and arm fillers, and more pronounced chest vents, which will be bundled here for free
