Tachi sword arms for Generation 6

Includes

Commentary :
The Tachi(means 'Big sword') is a generation older than Katana, which that famous for us.

With the armament of Samurai used before Sengoku Era, the Japanese sword style influenced by China and Korea was finally transformed into its own form.

Overall, it is longer than Katana, and it is assumed to be used on horseback as well as on both hands. (The Samurai of this time were not familiar On foot Warrior to us, but mounted archers.) For that reason, the handle is bent to use comfortably on the horse.

Also, Samurais, who used Tachi swords from this period, boasted extraordinary splendor in decoration, as they were now of high status.

Unlike Katana, the Sheath part also used a lot of metal parts, and the handle was not wrapped around the strap, but was reinforced with metal after adding stingray leather. Also, it doesn't fit directly into the belt, but instead of putting two metal devices on the back of sheath to connect it to the belt (but I didn't make it out of fear of durability, I just left it in shape), so when Tachi wears it on the belt, unlike Katana, the blade is facing down.

And after the start of the Sengoku Era, a lot of the classical Samurai died, and as aspects of the war turned to the focus of the On foot Warriors, Tachi gradually disappeared and Katana took over their place.
