3D model description

These are pegs to make the cover clip on when upgrading the sunlu s8 to an skr 1.3 or 1.4 board and a 12864 display similar to the original. This makes the printer nice and tidy compared to upgrading to a touch screen display and mounting it with "BTT TFT35 E3 LCD display mount for SUNLU S8" by kevwill https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4421999. Keep in mind their design also reduces your print volume some however I think many might prefer the touchscreen upgrade.

skr 1.3 1.4 or 1.4 turbo

NEW 12864 DISPLAY. I don't see any reason the old one wouldn't work with some electronics reverse engineering but I don't care to test it $15 for a new one is worth my time. The original uses a 21 pin connector whereas all the others use 2 10 pin connectors. Also, the display I got has a speaker/buzzer, rotary knob, and reset button in the exact same place as the original. keep this in mind when ordering one. The display is the same resolution as the original: 128x64 (hence the name). I HAD TO CAREFULLY BEND the mounting posts on the sheet metal with some pliers sense my display's mounting holes were exactly the same size as the screws with VERY little tolerance unlike the original display. Other than that my display "upgrade" for the new skr board worked like a charm after watching a video (see below) that shows how to set it up in marlin on the 1.3.
