3D model description

Here's a little guy who doesn't get much love: my interpretation of Laserbeak from Transformers Armada. Unlike the Decepticon cassette tape that exists in most Transformers media, this Laserbeak was a friendly, Autobot aligned bird buddy to the series' human kids, and transformed into a blaze orange and blue video camera. Also a "blaster", with the toy sized as a role play item, hence the safety colors.

I've reimagined this underappreciated character as a toy-scaled "Battlemaster" any of your Transformers figures can hold. It does not try to exactly match the original toy, but rather be the best little guy he can be while trying to evoke the look and feel of the original. He goes from bird to camera/blaster in a few easy steps!

Two versions of the main body are included: one with a 5mm peg hole (useful for toys with Minicon pegs!) and one without (pictured).

You'll need to print mirrored copies of both wing pieces and the leg piece. Please note, the wingtip piece prints VERY thin along one edge. All parts are saved in their recommended print orientation, and will need some supports. You know your printer best.

Assemble using 1.75mm filament, though I used cut down nails as pins for the main wing attachments. I also painted the underside of the wingtips blue, to better imitate the colors of the original toy, plus a few other spot details.

3D printing settings

Printed with 1.75mm PLA filament, on a Flashforge Adventurer 3.
