3D model description

For folks building their own Glock and Glock variant slide assemblies or repairing broken spring cups on existing slide, installing the spring cups on the striker while compressing the spring and containing the striker in the firing pin sleeve can be tricky. The "Glock Operators Tool" can be useful for this; however, the tool can be hard to find and is pricey if one is not putting together a lot of upper parts kits.

This creations contains two tools to assist with this effort.

The first "GlockSpringCupTool_V5" allows the striker, spring and sleeve to be inserted into a holder and then the spring cups put into place. The firing pin side of the striker can then be "lifted" out of the holder while holding the spring cups in place which allows the spring tension to "snap up" and retain the spring cups in place. The tool is fairly easy to work with and may be desirale for someone with limited use of of both hands. A version with the corners rounded a bit is included per feedback.

Some folks are concerned that this "snap up" could put undue stress on the sping cups. The second "GlockSpringCupTool_ALT_V1" design solves this by allowing the sleeve, striker and spring to be put into a base and a second "pusher" snapped into the spring coils above the firing pin. The pusher can then be pushed down revealing a gap between the top of the soring and the firing pin where the spring cups can be placed. The pusher can then be gently released to allow the spring tension to capture the spring cups against the striker and held in place. The pusher can then be removed and the completed assembly removed from the base.

Models for both approaches are included with the purchase.

Both have been tested for use with Glock Gen 3/G19 (Polymer 80 PF940C) striker assembly. It should also work with a Glock Gen 3 G17/Polymer 80 PF940V2.
