3D model description

This is a Remix of the LaserCut - 3D Puzzle Eagle located here:

(All credit for this design goes to jtronics)

I really wanted to print this, so I took the .dxf file provided by jtronics (see link above) and imported it into Blender 3d and added depth.

It took a bit of tinkering to find the right thickness. I found that 1.35mm fit together perfect for my printer. If it doesn't for you, you'll probably have to adjust the thickness manually like I did.

Another good thing about 1.35mm is that I can print at .27mm layer height and get exactly 5 layers. Also, I printed at 100% infill

3D printing settings

Default thickness for the plates is 1.35mm so I print at .27mm to get exactly 5 layers at 100% infill. I have only printed this in ABS thus far. Scaling it down to 75% worked fine as well.

Your mileage might vary depending on your printer. A good test would be to print two of the smaller objects and see how they fit together before printing the whole thing.

Print one of each plate:

Wings_Plate.stl

I have included the individual files incase your build plate isn't as large as the Replicator 2x and can't use the plates. You will have to print the quanity listed below:
