FOUR VASES IN ONE
When you download this model, you're getting four vases in one, and then some.

THE HALF VASE
The "Half Vase" has a flat back, perfect for hanging on or setting against a wall. It is balanced for easy standing. To hang it, I recommend adhesive wall strips or adhesive putty (Plasti-Tak, Loctite, Fun-Tak, etc.) The flowers for this vase are "Rose Vase - Bouquet with Block" (see PRINTING THE ROSES below). The block (at the base of the flower stems) fits snuggly into the back of the half-vase. It's a tight fit, so you'll need to press firmly. It should pop right into place with no need for glue. (See images for detailed Half-Vase Assembly instructions.)

THE WHOLE VASE
The "Whole Vase" is just that - a whole, round vase. For this model, you'll need to print out two Rose Bouquets - one "Front Side" and one "Back Side" (see PRINTING THE ROSES below). Their file names are clearly marked Front and Back, along with the phrase "for Whole Vase", so you can't mix them up. Print out both of these, place them back to back, glue them together, then pop the stems into the small hole in the top of the vase. It should be a nice snug fit, so again, glue is not required. (See images for detailed Whole Vase Assembly instructions.)

VASE w/ PICTURE FRAME
You can personalize this vase even more by choosing to print it with a photo frame. the Half Vase and Whole Vase both come with this option. The front of the vase is cut and beveled to hold the oval frame, which is also included in the file pack.

The files include a Frame Front and a Frame Back. The Back has 4 small pegs sticking up. The Front has four small holes for the pegs to fit into. These are to help line up the frame, but being so small, they do not snap together (I tried!), so you will need to use either glue or a tiny bit of tak/putty to hold it together. Use putty for a temporary hold, or glue for a permanent hold. (See images for detailed instructions on Adding a Photo Frame.)

The frame is oval and is designed to hold a wallet-size photo, 8.9cm x 6.35cm (2.5in x 3.5in). You'll need to trim the photo to fit the frame, making sure that each side rests just inside the pegs on the Frame Back. then secure the Photo Front to the back and adhere it to the vase.

MONOGRAMS / EMBELLISHMENTS
Once you've chosen and printed your custom vase, we've provided a bevy of monograms - hearts and text pieces - that you can print out to add personalized embellishments.

They include the words Love, amor, amore, amour, friends, mom, and BFF, as well as a single heart, and a trio of hearts. See images above for a preview.

PRINTING THE ROSES
If you're familiar with 'color changing' during prints, this will be a cinch. If not, this is the only part of the print that may present any difficulty. However, it's not hard to do, especially if your printer supports "filament change" / "pause at height" slicer settings.

In order to print out looking like the ones pictured above, you'll need to use three colors, across four layer changes. The first layer should be black. This is not required, but I feel like the roses look much better with a black background (even the double-sided ones). If you want to skip that, you can simply start with green at layer 0, and do not switch until layer 12 (see below).

Layers and Color Changes*
The two examples shown in our pictures used the following color changes at the specified layer heights (printing at Layer Height 0.16, Initial Layer 0.3). For the record, we used IIIDMax filament.

Red Roses
Layer 0 = Black
Layer 8 = Apple Green
Layer 12 = Black
Layer 16 = Red

Pink Roses
Layer 0 = Black
Layer 8 = Forest Green
Layer 12 = Black
Layer 16 = Light Pink

Choose your own colors - express yourself - make it your own! Above all, please post your custom makes as we would absolutely LOVE to see them!

DIMENSIONS
At 100%, the Bouquet of Roses with Vase measures 26.5cm (10.43in) high, and 12cm (4.72in) wide. The Whole Vase measures 7.62cm (3.0in) deep, and the Half Vase 3.81cm (1.5in) deep.

3D printing settings

The printer settings for most pieces of the flower vase and photo frame are pretty simple. Every single piece prints in place, with no supports or bed adhesion (brim or raft) required. Below, I am detailing the printer settings we used to print each peice. For the Rose Bouquet, you'll need to incorporate precise color-change layering (or you can always paint it!)
