3D model description

This was produced as a teaching material that can explain the structure and function of the “Inverted V-type 12-cylinder” engine installed in world-famous air fighters such as the "BF109" and "飛燕(Hien)" in the 1940s referring Internet information.
Well-known engines with this type of structure are "DB601" and "ハ-40".
It can be seen that this type of engine was developed for COMBAT purposes against the background of German high technology. Therefore, it seems that production was difficult at the license destination.
●Inverted type to ensure pilot visibility   ●Hollow Propeller Shaft for Motor Cannon
  There are a number of related functionally and structural features, including:
・Side mounted Supercharger (with torque converter)
・Electric Constant Speed Propeller (VDM type)
・Integrated cylinder block ・・Cylinder mounting method by direct barrel tightening
A. Features of this model are;
①. “Inverted V type” 60° 12-cylinder, Water Cooled
②. Hollow Propeller Shaft for Motor Cannon
   Therefore, the Electric Constant Speed Propeller (VDM type) was used instead of the hydraulic type.
③. Side mounted Supercharger (with torque converter)
④. Direct Fuel Injection Unit and Nozzles
⑤. 1 piece Crankshaft and combined Rods
⑥. Manifold type Intake Duct and Individual Exhaust Pipes
⑦. Overhead type Valve Mechanism, 1 piece Rocker Arm for IN/EX Valve
⑧. Centrifugal Coolant Pump
⑨. Simplified Accessories (Propeller, Magneto and Starter etc.)
⑩. Inverted display stand with Engine Mount and with turning tool

B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 32 pages)
The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting)".
The manual is including the all procedures to assemble with all parts.

 -Coil Spring (5x10x0.5 or 0.4)x4
 -Aluminum Pipe φ3, 4, 5, 9
 -Screws M1.4, M2 and M3 - Size ca be changed by your experience.

  "ws" of last 2 digits of file name means "With Support" special designed.

E. Total Net Print Time: Approx. 132 HR
 - (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support)
  Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience.

F. Printing settings
  Parts are designed for printer sized 150Lx130Wx100H.
  Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience.
  My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA.
