3D model description

A conversion to make your KJW MK2 look like the (somewhat) iconic Plasma Defender pistol from Fallout: New Vegas.

What you'll need:
Every variant:
1x KJ Works MK2
3x M3x10 socket head bolts
For the FullElectronics and LEDSpaces:
2x 39mm x 26mm x 2mm clear acrylic sheet
For the FullElectronics:
2x M3x5 bolts, prefferably flathead
3x 3mm LEDs, and appropriate series resistor
1x B140B 50V/0,5A switch
1x TP4056 LiIon charger module
1x 501830 230mAh LiIon battery

What's in the files:

Please refer to "IronSights_FullElectronics_assembled.stl" where the model is fully assembled.

CommonParts - the parts in this folder are needed for every variant. The pistol grips are optional, but if you want to do some weathering, you might want to print spares and not use the original black plastic ones.

The files contain two main variants:
IronSights - model with simple, Glock-style ironsights
FlatTop - model with flat top. If you want to attach some kind of rail system for optic sight, you can use this variant to glue on the rail, or drill holes for screws.

For both, there are three sub-variants:
FullBody - No spaces or hollows for LEDs. Use this variant if you just want to print the model, paint it and be done with it.
LEDSpaces - In case you want to put some fake, non-powered LEDs into the front of the model, and into the bottom section.
FullElectronics - The front section has space for building in a system that will illuminate the LEDs.

You will have to strip the sights (both front and rear) from your MK2, the conversion slides over the top of the model. You will also have to unscrew the grub screw just behind where the barrel enters the body. The conversion has a hole from the bottom, where it get affixed to this thread by an M3x10 bolt.

FullElectronics model
The FullElectronics model has space for battery, wires and switch to install two LEDs into the two cylinders by the gun's front, and one LED into the bottom open box section.
This variant is difficult to build. If you have no previous experience with soldering and microelectronics, I do not reccomend you make this variant.

3D printing settings

Use standart settings for your printer for 0.2mm layer. The model on the pictures was printed on Ender 3 with 0.2mm layer, so it should be an easy print.

Use supports.

File names hint at reccomended material. Everything can be printed from PLA, except the FrontGrip_PETG. This part needs some flexibility, so I reccomend to use PETG. PLA may work, but I haven't tested it and I think it will be too rigid.
