3D model description

Vase mode! Lovely and simple tea light holders inspired by a mathematical Smale Horseshoe. Folding folds.

I printed 20 mm and 40 mm high in vase mode. I also included a model 200 mm tall, so you can print it at whatever height you like. Also shown are models printed in vase mode with three top layers for a slightly different look.

It may be fun to try printing at a larger scale for a tray or dish.

3D printing settings

Model is 68 x 68 mm in x and y directions. Heights are 20, 40, and 200 mm. Print the 200 mm model and stop it at any height desired.

I printed everything in vase (spiral/corkscrew) mode. The base is 1 mm thick, so be sure to have enough bottom layers for that.

I printed everything with 0.3 mm layer height and 3 bottom layers in vase mode (0% infill, 1 perimeter). For some prints I used 3 top layers too. See photos.

Use with LED tea lights.
