3D model description

DEPRECATED: I have re-designed these and posted the new and improved "thingy" here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1477168.

For archival purposes: I wanted to improve my prints so I took some elements from a couple other fan shrouds found here on Thingiverse and customized them into fan shrouds that fit the B3 Innovations Pico Extruder as mounted in my Type A Machines 2014 Series 1 (G1). May make some adjustments in the future but these seem to be working for now. Photos are of old flawed design iteration. Printed in ABS to withstand high temperatures. Parts attach with a single screw, and mount directly to Series 1 G1 mount.

So far these shrouds have definitely improved my print quality and success rate (No more jamming!).

Upper_Shroud.stl and Lower_Shroud.stl are the files that should be print ready. Shroud_Assembly.stl is for demonstration purposes only. Mounting holes made for 40mm fans, like the ones that come with and are recommended for Pico extruders.

UPDATE 8-3-15: Added a new "Upper_Shroud_3.5_fixed.stl" which adds space for the flex insert from this post on TAM's forum: http://forum.typeamachines.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=620&start=10&hilit=insert

UPDATE 9-16-15: fixed some issues with mounting holes. Still needs some work however.
