3D model description

I've printed maybe 20 of these battery compartments (I needed 14 but many bad prints)

The biggest issue I had was having to create the terminals for the battery connection

I've included photos but basically I ended up with a warped mess that was a nightmare or just impossible to straighten and assemble into the battery compartment

I ended up making this model to hand compress in the included jig to create the terminals without warping the rest of the strip

Everything works the same but when you are creating the terminal follow the video instructions cut the strip then instead of hammering just place the model over the top of the terminal strip and compress it with your hands until you have pressed all down the terminal

This will indent it and create contacts without warping the terminal strip it will still be 90-95% straight

After this just go over it with pliers for one crimp per battery connection on each side to just make it slightly straighter

You should end up with an almost dead straight terminal strip

After 28 strips my insert was collapsed on the last 1 hole so after compression i just reversed it and compressed the last 3 holes again from the other direction

Ive included a photo of some of my best strips from the original method and one of the ones from the new method

The battery image shows how straight it is once in the compartment
