3D model description

For a long time I've been looking for a practical but qualitative chessboard model, so I present you the one I modeled!

Here is a functional chessboard model composed of 4 parts: a base, a box to store the pieces, the lid with the first part of the squares, and the last one that contains the squares of the other color.

The model of the pieces I used is the one from Samuel-Tinkerer: "Windows 7 Chess Titans Hacked (Extracted) Chess Piece Models".

I then glued together the box and the lid with the squares (as you can see on the pictures) but just the lid can form a chess board by itself.

It measures 12 cm / 12.5 cm and 3 cm high.

Ps: if one of the counters doesn't turn out right during printing, you can always find it by importing the file to a modeling site and extruding all the other counters.

3D printing settings

Made on a Neptune3 pro printer, the parts took between 1 hour for the counters and 3 hours and 20 minutes for the inner box. With a PLA thread.

To make sure the counters would not come off, I heated the tray to 60°C and the nozzle to 210°.
