3D model description

"Black Hole" Sunshine Magnum
Kinnikuman #306 ァンシャむン (G) Magnum

Super-rare M.U.S.C.L.E.

Recreated from #3 and #15 previously uploaded by Edgrivas. Now once again available here:

The legs and an arm aren't bent like the real figure as this is just a recreation using other figure models. Patched up or resculpted block texture at mold injection hole spots of the original sculpts on version 2.

Have only printed v2, with supports, and had to drill them out of the chest hole. See more notes under Post-Printing. I recommend printing at 103.6% scale so that a 3/16" drillbit matches for drilling all the way through evenly. Of course watch your own hand and fingers attempting to drill a figure. You do so at your own risk. Having sense of that from the start I've only ever spun a different figure on the drill and accidently broke one of its legs off, which I then superglued back on. I did drill totally through that different figure when I didn't intend to though. But I made sure my fingers were out of the way.

Post-Printing:
Have not tried printing v1 which has an even diameter hole all the way though (but some open connected space inside the model) and some defects and was made before I patched the mold injection holes.

Have only printed v2 in which the hole is narrower in the back.
Meshmixer seems very inconsistent and uncooperative in repeating what I did before since I've otherwise redid the model nicer. Printed with supports and had to drill through them in the chest hole to make bullet fit all the way through, though snuggly.

Hole in chest and bullet peg are 4.6 mm diameter (2.3 mm radius).
Had to drill some supports out of chest hole.
So printing at 103.6% would give 4.7656 mm diameter chest hole.
A 3/16" drillbit is 4.7625 mm diameter which is pretty close.

With a 102% print I drilled the front through to the back with a
11/64" bit which was a little small. Then I drilled the back in
but not all the way to front with a 3/16" bit.
Peg Bullet slides into back smoothly and then gets snug in the front.

Printed successfully with automatic supports with much altered settings.
Could try with custom supports with none in the hole.

Smaller reissue keshi bullet and hole diameter are about 5 mm
so the original size must be more than that. I used the shallow chest
hole of the Sunshine's Hell Arch form and it barely fit on the upper chest
of the Cursed Roller Sunshine used as a base.

I estimate printing at 108.696% would match to the reissue Keshi's diameter,
but obviously the figure itself would be much bigger.
At just 102% his mouth is as high as the top of the head of the reissue keshi.

A 160% Mega size figure would have 7.36mm hole.
That would be a 0.2897" hole.
A 1/4" drillbit is obviously too small.
A 5/16" drillbit is too large at 0.3125"

Printing at 138.045% would match 1/4" drillbit.
or
Printing at 172.554% would match 5/16" drillbit.
