3D model description

This is the design for a 20 round pellet magazine for the Air Venturi Avenger in ,22. Please note, it is significantly larger in diameter than the stock 10 round magazine (~58mm or 2.3"). I use it with a Avenger Bullpup, where this causes no issues. If you have a standard Avenger, it will require taller scope mounting rings. I create a 12 round version that is 40.2mm or just a bit larger that the stock magazine (~35mm) that may work better in those cases (https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/air-venturi-avenger-22-12-round-magazine).

It comes as 3 parts, a base, a rotor, and a top.

You will need a 10mm M3 screw, a M3 nylon lock nut, two 6mm x 3mm magnets and some type of rod for the hinge (I used 2.5mm steel rod cut to 25mm in length). You will also need a custom made spring. I made mine from 0.020" spring or music wire that wrapped around a 0.5" mandrel. The resulting spring diameter was ~25mm relaxed and I used a 9-10 coil spring.

If you have issues finding the wire for the spring, or any of the other hardware (or just don't want to try making the spring), send me a message. I bought a good bit of the wire and might be able to put together a sets of hardware to sell.

I have included three versions (all use the same base). One has no numbers to indicate the number of pellets remaining, one has smaller number, and one has larger numbers. The version without the numbers is the simplest to print. The two sizes of numbers can be used if your printer setup can handle the fine detail on the first layer.

See https://youtu.be/4eNEsvaV5Ik for a demonstration of function.

3D printing settings

I print my magazine at 0.12 layer height, 100% infill. You should position the base with the bottom to the bed, the rotor with the numbers to the bed, and the top with its top to the bed (should be pretty obvious when you look at them).

I designed this to print without supports. To do so, I left two very thin connections in the base that keep the slicer from trying to print hole features inside an overhang (printing perimeters in space). This means you will have to remove a very thin (1 layer) section from the center hole (us a small drill), and from the hole that the pellets are loaded through (I use an razor blade knife).
