3D model description

This cute articulated and posable alien have born to be fun and decorate the cutest places in your house. This model is a Print-in-place with NO supports!! This specific toy has ball joints to make better poses, the ball joint can have a bit of trouble when the model is really small but can be printed anyway.

In the making of this articulated pourable alien, there is plenty of hours invested in redesigning the model to ensure it is durable and easy to print without support. I personally made all the necessary 3d print test to assure the model is nearly perfect.

3D printing settings

"Effortless and EASY printing experience"

*No additional support structures are required (as they may negatively impact performance)
*Print-In-Place process (no need for assembly)
*A fill density of at least (infill) 20%
*3 layers for the walls
*Layer height: 0.15-0.2mm
*Standard 0.4 Nozzle
*Tested Using PLA, performs great without issues
*Slower print speed will improve the quality of your print
I use 30mm/s for good results, 60mm/s works great too.
*Printed on an Artillery Sidewinder X2

*ATTENTION!! ( SLICER ADJUSTMENTS FOR SMALL PRINTS)
If you want to print a small alien less than 7cm (2,75 INCH) you will need to make some adjustments to get better results and avoid a failed print, I personally printed successfully a 6 cm (2,32 INCH) alien without support on a glass bed with hair spray on it.
set the following parameters:
*Layer height: 0.15
*2 layers for the walls
*Infil 20%
*Printing temperature of 205ΒΊC
*Build plate temperature 65ΒΊC
*Print speed 50mm/s
*Wall speed 25mm/s
*Outer wall speed 15mm/s
*Z hop when retracted:yes(adjust the z hop height if the
nozzle pull any small part)
If you still have adhesion problems with smaller prints use a skirt to stabilize the smaller parts.

(IMPORTANT)
The last thing to be considered in smaller prints is the joints, you will need to print the model slowly due to the tolerances on the joint after removing the alien from the build plate you will need to wiggle the joint with small movements until the internal support break, it can be tricky but is possible and it requires patience.

"Secure an optime level surface for printing"

A good level printing surface is crucial for success, and a firm grip on the table ensures the best results.

"Use Raft or Brim for Improved Adhesion"

If you are experiencing adhesion issues during printing, adding a raft or brim can help improve the adherence of the material to the build platform.

"Protect your plastics from moisture"

Ensure your materials are not impacted by moisture, as excess can lead to stringing and render your final product unsuitable.
