Contemporary Chef Kitchen Knife Knives Block Holder Storage X2

I was asked to design a modern looking knife block for a friends new kitchen and knife set. This is the result and my printer has not stopped as everyone seems to want one!! Designed to be printed completely support free.

The unique gate that holds the knives is a simple spring design so it can accommodate the thickest to thinnest of steel blades including serrated edges.

The large one will even accommodate very long bread knives up to 240mm long. The baby version if ideal for small paring knives up to 128mm long.

I have created a space on the bottom so you can glue in some unprinted TPU filament to create non slip base if needed.

What colour will yours be? Please post your makes.

I printed mine in PETG but PLA will be ok for the main body but you will need something tougher for the top (sprung knife gate).

0.4 Nozzle
0.2 layer height for top and bottom or for a faster print use 0.28 for both parts of the bigger knife block.
20% infill
No supports

Make sure you have good bed adhesion prior to printing.
