My Precor EFX 427 elliptical has always had a banging noise from the arm joint and these small 3D printed discs solve the issue. Service did not fix it, as it is a design flaw. They over-engineered this and refuse to use plastic parts to soften vibrations. Yes is an incredible machine as well as being incredibly expensive ($5000), but it is a bit of hubris by Precor to think the machine is so perfect that there are no sub millimeter variances.

The disks acts as a buffer between the metal arm parts, softening even the slightest movement back and forth in the bearing, and also between the arms. The bearing spacer prevents the bearing from rattle side to side, because it limits the movement between the ball of the bearing and the plastic housing.

The bracketspacer fits between the rod and the outer bracket and prevents noise vibration continuing to the frame and being amplified.

You need two bearingspacers and two bracketspacers for each side. The thicker bearing spacers go inside the plastic housing and the 1mm bracketspacers go at the ends of the rod. It is tricky to assemble the bracketspacers. Put them both on at once and squeeze both in at the same time.

I think it is required to print this in PETG as I think PLA wouldn't handle the pressure stress over time.

This should work with any Precor that has this same ball joint arm design.

Included is a gcode file for a Prusa MK3 using Prusament PETG for one side.
