This model is made to explain the structure and principle of the VDM Electric Constant Speed Propeller developed in Germany in order to mount the motor cannon in the propeller shaft of the inverted V12 engine (see below).

Due to the size of the model, the number of gear teeth is halved according to internet information.
VDM is the company name "Vereinigte Deutsch Metalwerke".

A. Features of this model
① Used as the differential gear by using gears with "different number of teeth"
② Use the "Worm Gear" to change the propeller pitch angle
③ Electric motor used to change propeller pitch
④ DC Motor Drives are provided.
[Others] An electric governer is used to stabilize the propeller speed, but it is omitted.
Device of the propeller pitch control is omitted.

B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 19 pages)
The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping, gluing and tightening)".
Finishing of gear teeth is very important to get smooth rotation.

My design hole diameter is considerably smaller than the finish hole diameter in order to ensure the wall thickness at the time of printing.

My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA.
