3D model description

欢迎来到中国香港
Welcome to Hong Kong, China!

These models were created by MiniWorld3D founder and lead 3D artist Dany Sánchez.

This entry includes 3 models:

  • Bank of China Tower
  • Two International Finance Centre
  • International Commerce Centre

These are some of the tallest and most iconic buildings in Hong Kong and all of China.

The Bank of China Tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Hong Kong, notable for its distinct shape and design, consisting of triangular frameworks covered by glass curtain walls. The building was designed by Chinese-American architect I. M. Pei and L.C Pei. At a height of 315.0 m (1,033.5 ft), reaching 367.4 m (1,205.4 ft) high including masts, the building is the fourth tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong, after International Commerce Centre, Two International Finance Centre and Central Plaza. It was the tallest building in Hong Kong and Asia from 1989 to 1992, and it was the first supertall skyscraper outside the United States (from Wikipedia).

The International Finance Centre (IFC) Tower 2 is the second tallest building in Hong Kong at a height of 415 m, behind the International Commerce Centre. It has a similar height to that of the former World Trade Center twin towers in NYC. Along with One IFC, it was constructed and is owned by IFC Development. Tower Two was completed in 2003 (from Wikipedia).

Lastly, The International Commerce Centre (ICC) is a 484 m (1,588 ft) commercial skyscraper completed in 2010. It is the tallest building in Hong Kong, and ranked high on the world list at it's completion, but has since moved down. It faces Two IFC across Victoria Harbour (from Wikipedia).

MiniWorld3D is excited to bring this model to life as a homage to all people of Shanghai. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture and education!

3D printing settings

Easy prints, no supports required. Minimal or no infill are possible. Use brims or rafts to reduce leverage when printing the tallest parts. When the printer is working on the tallest parts, there may be some wobble, which may cause the building to come off the print bed.

Two International Finance Centre comes in two versions, one with accurate top details for large scales or resin, and another that is easier to print with FDM, especially at regular scale or smaller.
