The Shard was modeled by Artemio García, and the rest by Dany Sánchez.

These are some of the most iconic highrise buildings in London, known for their unusual shapes and whimsical nicknames.

The Shard is the tallest building in the United Kingdom, and the seventh-tallest in Europe, at 310 m (1,016 feet) high. It opened in 2012 and was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano. In 2014, The Shard received first place at the Emporis Skyscraper Awards, hailed as "a skyscraper that is recognized immediately and which is already considered London's new emblem (from Wikipedia).

30 St. Mary Axe, informally known as the Gherkin, is a 180 m (591 ft) tall building. It opened in 2004. Designed by Norman Foster & the Arup Group, it has become a recognisable landmark of London. It won the 2003 Emporis Skyscraper Award (from Wikipedia).

Lastly, 20 Fenchurch Street, better known as t*he Walkie-Talkie*, is a 160 m (525 ft) tall commercial building in London's financial district. Designed by architect Rafael Viñoly. It features a bar and restaurants on the top floors, as well as a large viewing deck. This building has been at the center of controversy multiple times, first for its visual impact on nearby historical landmarks like St.Paul's cathedral or the Tower Bridge, and later for unexpected effects that its shape has on the surrounding streets, including reflecting and focusing sun rays in dangerous ways, and creating wind tunnel effects. As opposed to the other two previous Emporis winners in this list, the Walkie-Talkie was awarded the Carbuncle Cup in 2015 for the worst new building in the UK in the previous 12 months (from Wikipedia).
