3D model description

HUGE TIP FOR MANY OF YOUR OWN PROJECTS !:

As im always simply enlarging items that others have made with SHEER TALENT ( ! ), ive been using a technique that helps DEAL WITH HINGES without needing any metal parts and thats simply by using a temperature-settable soldering iron.

Use files from Original Author's Thing Page, All i did was ENLARGE by 280% for each piece i wanted/needed (used Prusa Slicer, so whatever IT uses to calculate its increase in size)

Simply repeat for whichever size your 3D Printer's max build-plat can afford to do :)

Using Prusa Slicer, i make sure the padlock icon is LOCKED, Type in 280 & press enter and it enlarges it to that number, just to confirm, these are the box bottom dimensions in mm after the operation:

Box When Enlarged:
X: 240.8mm Y: 179.2mm Z: 123.2mm

INFIL: 90% (Honestly, its PAINFULLY LONG but WORTH-IT !!!)
Enlarged By: 280% (Prusa Slicer Standard Settings)
0.3mm Accuracy (Fastest, use 0.4mm for even faster builds)

Still takes about a day to print the bottom box alone (largest part), every NEXT box i make will be 0.25mm as i think itll increase strength.

Lower the Accuracy, Slower the Printing Time
Higher the Accuracy, Faster the Printing Time

Using a Soldering IRON, at 180 deg C, i melt filament sections stuffed into the hinge then melted onto the outter part of the lid and this works PERFECTLY due to the designer's awesomely envisioned hinges - the original Author - Zvedak - has Unbelievably EXCELLENT 3D Drawing/Designing Skills and i couldnt have been more grateful - thanks loads and enjoy !

Using this trick you can enlarge these boxes or shrink them to whatever sizes you want, and they are SO SOLID - Truly a box that can TAKE A BEATING !!!!

IF beginners think that the 3D Printing material, PLA, isnt strong enough, with the talent of these awesome original authors, youll see that PLA is awesome for indoors projects and definitely strong enough !!
- My Boxes TAKE A BEATING DAILY !!!!!!! Dropped, Kicked, Accidently Lobbed Across the room etc lol (when trying to wipe debris off the table haha, the box went with the crud a few times, lol)

The photo's easily show what i describe here, a lot better :)

Lastly This Enlarged Box is PERFECTLY SUITED to be an excellent power supply unit with onboard Lipo batteries, a Β£20 DIY Oscilloscope from Aliexpress and a bunch of Banana-Connector Plugs for an adjustable Power Supply Unit

Im envisioning the Oscilloscope can be fitted into the LID so when you open the box, youll see the LCD/OLED Display, thus also protecting things like that - Anything with a Screen, 4 or 5 inch touch screen for Rpi too (thinking out loud !)
