Easter Bunny Rabbit with Egg that Opens or Fits Real Eggs

The Easter Bunny is hippity-hopping his way into town with a cute new way to deliver goodies to the children. Pop open the egg, drop candy, jelly beans, or coins inside, and press it back together. Then set it on the bunny's lap. The kiddos will love it.

If you don't want to print the eggs, no worries. You can put those plastic store-bought pop-open eggs from the store, or even a real egg in his lap - they fit perfectly!

This design comes with two files - the Easter Bunny himself, and a two-part Egg. Both are designed to print in place with no supports required. Yes, those long floppy rabbit ears were built that way for a reason, and it's not just because they're cute! And the eggs don't screw in or require any twisting. They are just made tight, so they pop together and pop apart with a little pressure. This makes them harder for small kids to break from over-tightening.

He's highly scalable, as well. We've printed him in his original 100% scale, all the way down to 60%. The bunny and eggs both came out great, even with basic settings and high print speeds. There's no assembly required, but you may wish to do some painting.

How To Paint the Easter Bunny (Optional)
If you want to make the rabbit more lively, you can easily paint or even use a marker on his facial features. The eyes, nose, and mouth are designed with noticeably raised edges. Simply color the pupils of the eyes, the nose, and the lips. If you choose to print in anything besides white, you may wish to color his teeth white too.

Just a few basic settings will get this Happy Easter Bunny figure and his eggs to print out nicely. These are the settings we use and recommend.

Layer Quality: 0.2
Infill: 15%
Speed: 80mm/s
Supports: No
Plate Adhesion: None

Tip: You can speed things up more and reduce filament use by turning on Cura's "Lightning" infill feature. We used a Lightning infill with 4 Walls on the full-size print out and it dropped the estimated weight from 125g to 71g. It printed just fine, and actually reminded us of a hollow chocolate bunny! But it holds up great and seems plenty strong.
