3D model description

Optimized for use in AR-15.

Auto-indexes off interior of upper receiver and locking lugs, simply hold ejection port up, muzzle facing somewhat down, drop in, and drop the bolt. Contoured upper shoulder, flag shoulder and rearmost face are designed to spread the pressures evenly for long flag life even with heavy use.

Forward most visible shoulder will be in light contact with forward edge of ejection port to indicate empty chamber and safe transportation/storage of your AR platform rifle. Any gap between this shoulder and forward portion of ejection port indicated an obstruction and chamber NOT clear.

Print it off and slide it over a fired brass to create a chamber flag to signify your weapon is on safe at home or on the range. Seat your fired brass in the bolt face, and it will automatically eject if you need to get the weapon into action in a hurry, at home or at a competition.

Recommended material is PLA Pro at a minimum for durability. Standard PLA will deform quickly with repeated use. PETG works for short term or disposable use but deforms after repeated use.

.223/5.56 Semi Auto variation does not use a rubber O ring and will need to have the forward pressure of an operating spring to maintain the sleeve in place. Recommend use of a vice or gentle hammer taps to seat fired brass inside sleeve.

3D printing settings

Long ways vertical
No supports needed
3 layer walls all around and recommend minimum 20% cubic infill minimum
May need to tweak Y axis by 1 to 3 percent to allow easy ejection depending on individual ejection port eccentricities.
