3D model description

Since the original Velux replacement solar cell was not available anywhere at an acceptable price, I replaced it with four 12V 50mA 0.6W 70x80mm monocrystalline solar cells connected in parallel. For the cells I constructed a frame, which is with almost 30cm length too big for the usual printers, so I uploaded it as a split version.
Print the frames in 180° rotated STL orientation, preferably with UV stable filament. I glued the solar cells into the frame. After wiring, I glued the previously cured frame/cell module into the original Velux carrier. The adhesive I used was highly transparent 1K hybrid adhesive and sealant based on silane-terminated polymers for stress-free and permanently elastic bonding and jointing. So far, everything is running smoothly. However, I expect the cells to become milky and thus less efficient over time. However, they are so inexpensive that I can retrofit replacement cells for years for the equivalent of the original cell.

------------ I would be very happy if you have as much fun with the things as I do. ------------

If you like :-) Thank you very much!
