For all my Cottagecore friends (and myself!) I've designed the Tabletop Toadstool, an adorable mushroom table that's as easy to print as it is to piece together. It's like a puzzle, except that it's really obvious where all the pieces go. And since each part prints individually, you won't need to paint it. Just print the three sections - top, bottom, and the dots - in separate colors, and glue them together.
The fungi table topper is highly scalable and versatile. In the images, you'll see I've printed in at 100% scale (16.5cm/6.5in tall) and 50% scale (8.3cm/3.3in tall). Both came out smooth with no loss of quality, and all the pieces still fit perfectly. Then, I came up with the idea for a Mushroom Table Lazy Susan, which is kind of a funny story...
While printing these variable sizes, one of the Mushroom Tops lifted up from the build plate enough to warp. I didn't realize it until preparing to glue it to the fungus stem. There was an obvious separation between the pieces. Instead of tossing it out, I upcycled it! I modeled a Lazy Susan ring, attached it to the bottom, and viola! The Lazy Susan Toadstool was born. And that evolved into an entire 3-Tier Toadstool Carousel!

Unfortunately, the Lazy Susan add-on is not available yet. I am working to model a better print-in-place Lazy Susan turntable. There were errors and too much clean-up on the current model to upload it. As soon as I get a good, functional, print-in-place model together, I'll add it to the STL files here for your enjoyment. Until then, might I suggest this very well made (and free) version from Thingiverse creator dav88:

MUSHROOM TABLE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
There's a tutorial video on the GP3D YouTube page that will quickly guide you through the build process. You'll find that here:
Video Instructions: How to Build the Table Top Toadstool
There's also an image above that details the process.
I'll briefly share the basic steps here as well:
- Print out each of the STL files - Top (Cap), Bottom (Stem), and Dots. (Note that the file 'WHOLE' is for preview purposes on Cults3D and is not meant for printing.) Before you start, be creative in picking your colors, and be sure to upload your makes when you're done. We would absolutely love to see them!
- Look closely at the top of the 'Bottom' (stem) section, and the bottom of the 'top' section (the two sides that will be glued together). You'll notice there are two areas along the rippled edge where the ripples are closer together. This is intentional because it gives you a reference point to line them up perfectly. Take a marker and draw a small line or arrow pointing to the two small sections on the Top piece, and again on the Bottom piece.
- Add a few circles of glue to the top of the stem. Lining up the arrows you drew in Step 2, place the Top of the toadstool on the stem, making sure all your edges line up properly.
- While that glue is drying, you can glue the Dots into their position on the Top piece. No two dots are alike, so this should be very simple. To make it even easier, I used a dry erase marker to put a line on the bottom of each Dot as it came off the printer, just to make sure I didn't accidentally glue anything in upside down. Add a few drops of glue around the edges of each dot and place them into the corresponding holes.
- Allow your new mushroom decor plenty of time to dry, then decorate it as you like. Or decorate with it as you like. Or both!
DIMENSIONS
We've printed this in multiple sizes and they all came out great. The ones that are pictured were printed at 100% scale and 50% scale. The fully assembled dimensions for these are:
100% Scale Toadstool
X = 19.41cm / 7.64in
Y = 19.65cm / 7.74in
Z = 16.5cm / 6.5in
50% Scale Toadstool
X = 9.71cm / 3.82in
Y = 9.83cm / 3.87in
Z = 8.26cm / 3.25in
I am looking forward to printing this on an even larger scale. I have the capacity - the Anycubic Kobra Max with 400x400x450 bed - but I don't have the time yet. I'm guessing it will take a few days at least to print the stem. If and when I do, I'll be sure to upload the make.
