Pool Fountain Drink Chiller

Need somewhere to set your beer and keep it from getting hot? Looking for a pool fountain to chill your pool in the summer? Why not do both?

This drink chiller uses a printed wye to supply water from the pool pump to the fountain. If you have a cooler laying around run the hose into it to use as a heat exchanger before feeding it up to the fountain! (I haven't set up the cooler portion yet but will soon.)

This was an easy print for me with Overture PETG. Print the main body top down with no supports required. A couple drops of glue will hold the bottom panel to the main body if needed but mine is a friction fit with no problem. Once it is assembled I used a couple drops of hot glue to stick it to the pool frame but epoxy could be used if necessary.

The restrictor nozzle isn't necessary but If you close the gate on it it will reduce the flow in the pool which increases the flow of the fountain slightly and is also printed easily with no supports.

NOTES: The CAD picture is a cutaway view showing the path the water takes inside of the main body.

This was designed for a round Intex pool but is likely usable on other brands and shapes.
