3D model description

This is a case for the TP-Link TL-WR703N router with an additional open source expansion board which adds on a USB Hub for a total of 3 USB ports available, a FTDI 2232 chip with 10GPIO broken out as well as the MPSSE pins for serial/JTAG/I2C/SPI etc. i.e. this would make a great low cost/low power robotics controller.

Measurements derived from original case, with a change to a slide in arrangement to house the expansion board with the case acting as a board spacer as well.

Blog post with firmware ROMs and HOWTOs will be made available on http://www.madox.net/blog/tp-link-tl-wr703n/ shortly.

The OSHW expansion board details for the TL-WR703N is available here :- http://www.kean.com.au/oshw/WR703N/

3D printing settings

WARNING/NOTE : The recessed USB port does not have an opening with this case. The intention is that a really short USB flash drive could be used there.

Update : The tp-wr703n_kean_v2_A2.stl file has an extended portion that protects the protruding USB as well as giving extra space for the USB flash drive [tested with Sandisk Cruzer Fit mini]

Print both files. Note orientation of the "A" part might need to be rotated to avoid supports ['base' to the bottom].

Slide in router + expansion board combo gently.
Take care on the front USB to ensure it goes into the hole.

Attach the 'cover' and secure with 2 M3x4/6/8/10/12 countersunk screws [Length doesn't really matter].
