3D model description

Organizers for Tabannusi board game. All organizers fit the game box very well, provide quick game setup and comfort during the play.

The set contains: Player's component organizer, Dice barge, Project organizer, 2 Building organizers, Supply organizer, Card tray and 3 Tile organizers.
Sliding lids prevent components from falling out during the storage. Theme cutouts decorate lids.

  1. PLAYER'S COMPONENTS ORGANIZER: It consists of 4 items that are assembled along with the player board: P.Underside, P.Insert, P.Lid and P.Tray. First put player board on the underside. Then place the insert on and attach it into the underside (there are grooves on left and right, where the insert must be pressed). The tray is just placed under. How the sliding lid works is shown on photos. The set up of player's components is instant. All houses are well organized during the play. There are comfortable cutouts for Crate tiles, so they can be easily placed, removed or flipped. The insert correspond with the player board very well. The tray holds all Claim markers. During the play you can keep there the marker supply. This way they are close, but separated from the available markers in the player area.
  2. DICE BARGE: It's 3 dimensional barge used during the play instead of the barge tile. Hollows serve as slots for dice, so the dice are steadily kept in place. Still they are shallow enough for easy access to components during the play. The barge can be closed by a sliding lid. The lid is higher than usually, still works ok. I didn't want the barge on the game board to be too high, so all dice are well visible during the play and this way the draw is easier. I 3d printed them in 5 colors related to those used in the game.
  3. PROJECT ORGANIZER: Here are accommodated: 3 types of Project tiles, Garden tiles, regular Water tiles, Action tiles and Property cost tiles. Indentations and slanted walls facilitate item draw. The container is adjusted for the dedicated sliding lid.
  4. BUILDING ORGANIZER: There are 25 Building pieces in each color. As it is uneven number, there are 2 Building organizers: 12 and 13. These pieces, packed in the organizer, look so tidy. The slots are well adjusted to the Buildings, so it's comfortable to put them in and take them out. (Notice, that they are placed with the joint up.)
  5. SUPPLY ORGANIZER: Very comfortable organizer with 2 sections. One is dedicated for Gold tokens. The other one has 2 functions. Special Water tiles, Starting player token and 3 number tiles are kept there during the storage. It serves as a dice supply pool during the game. Rounded bottom of each section facilitates item draw.
  6. CARD TRAY: It is a card tray with a sliding lid. All cards are kept there. To separate them into 3 decks, two Dividers are used. Sloped bottom and indentation facilitate the draw. It is designed for cards without sleeves.
  7. TILE ORGANIZERS: So, after designing these all very useful organizers, I have noticed that there are still some items that need to be squeezed into the game box. So there are 3 tile organizers: Ship&Ziggurat organizer, Crate&Harbormaster organizer and Barge tile container. They are not so sophisticated, but they work just fine.

For me this board game isn't as intuitive as Teotihuacan or Tekhenu (also designed by Daniele Tascini). But with these organizers it can be played much more smoothly.

3D printing settings

All organizers were 3Dprinted on Prusa MK3:
- in PLA (F3D Gold pearl),
- No support is needed,
- Infill 10% rectilinear.
Note1: I use slightly changed default Print settings "0.15mm SPEED MK3" in PrusaSlicer.
Note2: 0.2 mm layer height was set to speed up the print for: Building organizers, P.Insert, Divider, Ship&Ziggurat organizer and Barge tile container.
Note3: Monotonic top/bottom fill was set to increase the quality, especially of lids.
Note4: Place Barge.Lid and P.Lid upside down in slicing program before generating g-code file, to avoid supports.
Note5: The longest organizers in this set are: Building13 organizer and Project organizer. They are both 182 mm long.
