Wiggler Caterpillar Super Mario World Nintendo Video Game Figure

Ahh, the Wiggler - such a cute and cuddly caterpillar, with his radiant daisy flower perched upon his perfectly spherical head... just don't make him mad! One of the Super Mario Series' most volatile (likely bipolar) enemies is now available on a 3D printer near you. He's flexible in every way, from his wiggling body to his marching feet. Print him in traditional happy yellow, a fierce angry red, or both!

The Mario caterpillar figure comes in 2 STL Files - the Wiggler (body) and the Flower. The body is a print-in-place flexi design with no supports needed. The flower will print upside down so it also needs no-supports.

To make this look like the original Wiggler from the Nintendo video game series, you may need to give it a little paint. I suggest printing the flower in green, then painting its petals white with a yellow dot in the center. For the caterpillar, you can get more creative, or search for images of the character from Super Mario World and other games in which he appears for inspiration.

At 100% scale, the Super Mario Bros Wiggler measures:

X = 5.4m / 2.1in
Y = 13.7cm / 5.4in
Z = 4.8cm / 1.9in

We scaled him down to 65% and were still able to get a good clean print, without losing his ability to articulate. By accident, we also printed him at about 36.5% scale (50mm in length), and we were shocked that it worked too! We may have just gotten lucky, so I don't really recommend it.

It's a rather easy print, requiring no supports and no raft. You will need good build plate adhesion, though, so if you think a raft is in order, go for it. We had no trouble printing on glass and flexible build plates with glue.
