3D model description

A set of Chasseurs Alpins in combat. Figures with bases, supports and without bases nor supports.
The section d'éclaireurs-skieurs (SES) is the scouting platoon (around 40 men) of each battalion. Each company also has its own skiers, in varying numbers. SES were sent to Norway. Only the skiers in the North of Norway (Narvik sector) were operational, in other parts of Norway, the skis attachments were lost during the trip. During the Battle of France, the Bataillons de Chasseurs Alpins left their SES in the Alps.
The figures are equipped with the modern MAS-36 given to Alpine troops part of the Corps Expéditionnaire Français en Scandinavie. They wear the reversible jacket, which can be painted khaki or white. The Adrian Helmet is covered in white cloth. (The figure with the signal flags is wearing the Khaki blouson with removable hood.)
An option is provided for the SES of the 13e DBMLE, with Légionnaires in khaki beret instead of the wide blue "tarte" beret.
It is recommended to cure the figures in water to avoid having the skis curling during curing. If you have curled skis, you can place weights to bend them back straight (see pics) Leave them overnight. I prefer this slow bending method to others, like boiling water or heat.
The figures are fragile. I have printed them ok with Anycubic Basic Resins. You can choose a mix of special resin, flexible or ultra-strong.
Support removal is difficult. Remove the supports before curing, very slowly. Avoid prying the supports away, make sure the ski poles and skis are completely freed from contact with supports.
I have managed to remove supports with no breakage from whole sets, but not on my first attempt. If you break tiny parts, repair them with superglue. You can also use some white glue before to join the parts first. You can give you figures custom bases. I have preferred to give them my standard size of infantry bases.
If used in games, the figures may get damaged too. That is why accessories are included for repairs.
Place your own supports. I cannot guarantee 100% success with mine, as it depends on your machine settings and material.
Not for snowflakes, but if you are up to the challenge everything should slide smoothly for you!
