3D model description

This is the Dom Foot, a little helper for your workshop.


If you have a Festool Domino joiner DF500 or maybe even DF700 this might come in handy.

Depending on the project you might need to oil or paint pieces before glueing them together.
That's at least why I need it now and then, so I made these parts.
You might have other plans what you need these for.

The Dom Foot design contains a whole set of parts.
You have the basic Dom Foot and additional inlays depending on the size of your domino.
They all go in and out of the same basic foot and come as tenon or mortise.

The tenon parts are for small to mid-sized parts.
Use your Domino as usual and to have it upright after coating use two or more tenon parts.
They can be used single or to secure parts from tipping over, just combine it with the basic foot.
To secure it even better - for example angled cuts - screw the Dom Foot down to a board.

Even better in such cases with high duty or larger parts: the mortise variant.
Because the tenon is stressed shearing, it can't take high forces.
Just insert a Domnino in the mortise part and you will have a heavy duty part.


The tenon and mortise parts come in alles common Domnino sizes and they have lenght combinations as following:
4 x 10 mm
5 x 15 mm
6 x 20 mm
8 x 25 mm
10 x 25 mm
12 x 25 mm
14 x 25 mm

So you'll get the whole set here and any updates that will come.

Main purpose is to help everyone using a DF500 though it's the same principle and should work with DF 700 Dominos just as well.
Though I wouldn't recommend using it for huge parts with 14 x 140 Dominos. :-P

For storage you can stack the parts together and I think the parts are determined to be printed in different colours, so you can recognize them easy.


So far so good, I still have some more idead to come up with this design and I will update as soon as it's ready.
