Walrusfolk troopers are what passes for soldier in the greater walfrusfolk community. They do not hunt and their only purpose is war – and to guard rare midwives, shamans and a king of walrusfolk nation. They are better armed than regular warriors, usually with weapons gained as a war prize or as tributes from various merchants who seek walrusfolk kings to make trade deals with them for mammoth ivory, furs and seal skins. If they wear armor at all, it is made from materials that can survive the cold salty waters and do not restrict their movement in both water and on dry land or ice.
