3D model description

Update:
I have modified my design to make it compatible with the standard freewing mounting hardware. This new design is very similar to the old, but is a bit more modular and should make it easier to swap these onto other Freewing models if desired. I also uploaded some full-size bomb STL's. Now you can't print them as a single piece if your printer has a large enough bed. I kept the original models here for those wanting them. They all have the prefix (old) in front of the file names.

If you like my designs and find them useful, a tip would be appreciated. Tips can be sent to:

Original Summary:
This is something I put together for myself. I'm not claiming it's perfect or "scale", but it does print on my tiny Makerbot Mini 3d Printer and in my opinion it looks pretty good. The mounting method is the same as what I did for my Freewing F-16. The pylons themselves are very short, but this is a limitation of my Makerbot. It can only print ~5" tall objects, so that's the max length I made my pylons. Feel free to make them longer if you want...but it's just more weight and drag IMO. The bombs come in 2 pieces because my printer can't print them as a single piece. If possible, I recommend printing the single-piece Mk82. But glueing the fins to the body of the bomb isn't difficult either.

All of these parts can be printed with minimal infill (5%) except for the wing-mounted pylons. I recommend 25% on those to make sure they hold up from repeated use.
