3D model description

Got to love that tongue!! HAHAHA

All parts are to be printed separately in the correct corresponding colors to eliminate the need to paint.

Created this design to thank moore3Dcreations, and the rest of my Instagram followers as well as my followers here on cults3d. This design will be priced free for 48hrs. 3/25/23 to 3/27/25

All parts should load in your slicer in the correct orientation. Only a few parts will need support touching build plate: The white bottom body, Green Main body, Green main head, and both boots.

The head can be tricky to get a good print of, I suggest starting there. In Cura set the support overhang angle at 62 and use support blockers on the back of the head, otherwise your printer will try and support these areas that aren’t necessary.

I recommended infill settings low on the head parts, and higher on the body and feet to help maintain the balance of the finished assembled figure.

With all the parts printed I use a scrap piece of white filament to press into the black eye pieces, this helps with assembly as a small amount of glue will be applied to the back and then pressed into the white eye piece. Once the black eye piece is in place trim the excess filament off with your cutters.

The white eye assembled should press into the head firmly.

Then glue one head pin to mouth piece, and attach the cheeks. These parts should slide into the main head easily and be glued in place. Next attach the tong to the head by adding glue to the end that will be inserted into the head.

With the head finished, glue the second head pin into the back. Don’t glue the 2nd head pin to the body otherwise the head won’t swivel.

The bottom white body should be self-explanatory to attach and needs firmly pressed into place. Make sure to attach the white bottom body before the shoes are attached!

I struggled on some test prints to figure out which is the right or left shoe, so I added arrows and an alignment point. The arrows on the shoes should be pointed towards each other when attaching them to the body. Arrows are also on the boot soles to help with alignment

The saddle trim has an arrow on the bottom to pointed at the head, keep this in mind, and it should line up with the rest of the body just fine. I put a small amount of glue on the underside of the shell saddle, place it on the saddle trim then rotate it until it looks correct.

I recommend dry fitting the arms in place to figure out witch one is witch. Study the pictures posted and this shouldn’t be an issue. They fit rather loose, so make sure to glue them in place.

With the body finished, the head should easily support itself with the head pin glued on the back.

Update 05/01/2023
Added a white bottom body right and left files. If you are have issues printing the part in one piece, this will help to print it in two pieces that will need put together before being inserted into the green main body.

Update 05/19/23
Added MMU files to be printed on bambu lab 4 color printers. Head and body to be printed seperatly. I recommend printing the head with supports touching the build plate, otherwise it will try to add supports in the top tongue area which is unnecessary.
And set the infill on the head relatively low, around 12%, and the infill on the body to roughly 20%, otherwise the finished Yoshi will be off balance and want to tip over.
Lastly I wasn't able to reduce the amount of colors in the body, nor the head area and the following parts will have to be printed out and attached separately. I kept some clearances in the design for these parts so they should assemble together just fine for you.
