Her Hand Tree of Jewelry

I make this design for a friend of mine, she ask me to make her a jewelry stand to put on her nightstand beside her bed but she wanted a different kind from the ones she have seen before so i try to combine the hand as a light too... it was a great fun but very long project with many fails before succeed ...it was difficult to make a nice and strong voronoi hand because of the hand unregulated shape ...anyway she was so happy of the result that she find me a couple jewelry stores in Philippines who want it to buy this light for showroom ...it was with great plaisir because it's a very easy print without any support so very litle post processing to do so and also for the DIY light it's very easy to assemble it ..all the parts are very accessible from ace hardware and the cost is under 30 dollars (PS :beware that the ace hardware I buy the this 2 different light are located in Philippines so you have to check first your local hardware stores in your country before buying my design..I put pictures of the lights box with all measurements on it check it first, I'm pretty sure that if I can get it here in Philippines ace hardware you will most definitely get it on the western continent...anyway if anything you can contact me to send me a different light measurements and I will resize the light shade and cover for you ...is no need to change the size of hand because I did make the roots support of the hand adaptative type so you can scale it yourself as much as 9 % up or down to make different rings size fitting...so the support roots will still fit the light shade ...but beware 9%up or down scale it's very big or very small fingers ...😨 .The zip content come in two folders with two different lights is the same feminine hand but with a different roots support to fits each light shade and cover ...also it come with 2 hand by folder the right side and the left side for your preferences hope to you ....beware that for the big light you have to use led light bulb because normal light bulb be too hot for PLA and because this light use a light bulb that will be need to be replace at some point do not glue the hand roots to the light shade just a small piece of a double face clear tape to keep it strong in place...as for the small light you can glue everything together no bulb to replace ... hopefully you will enjoy this model as much as we do .....😊 it's pretty, organic ,practical and delightful....a great romantic gift...😍

I make this print on an ultimaker 2 without any support only a 8mm brim for plate adhesion ...I print it with so many different PLA with success even with PLA Metalfill copper but my favor PLA on this model is the clear one as the light ray fuse in and out...Fail with ABS too much overhang unless you use support but good luck for post processing 😵 I will not recommend it...as for the printing time for the hand was around 11 hours on 1.5 mm layer height and around 16 hours on 1mm layer height work well on both but my favor is the 1mm L.H for this model and for the others parts I did print it at 1.5mm L.H and it's about 2 hours to 4 hours each part ...all this print are strong enough be rock tumbling for 12 hours ...yeah I know you may think I'm litle lazy for post processing you are right it I am.....😝
