This is a remixed model of the scanned crystal head vodka bottle. Here I need to salute to the author baker3d who offers the free original file!

What I did is just hollowing the bottle to 2mm thick, and cut the top half. I believe it will be a good household gadget :)

The model in the photos is printed in indulstrial SLA printer with the transparent resin, but it's also printable in FDM or other types of printers. You might need to add supports or raft on it, suit yourself to get the best results!

How to make the transparent resin prints
You might know that the transparent resin won't just give you a crystal clear result after you finish printing, after the surface is cured completely, it will turn tranlucent just like a frosted glass window.

Remember what we used to do the trick to peep through a frosted glass window? Yes! By covering some water on it, that way we can make the surface smooth. It's the similar method we do on the frosted clear resin.

So the 1st step is: Polishing.
Use sandpaper or sand foam, use the foam from lower grits to higher grits to get a gradually improved smoothness.

The 2nd step is where the magic happens: Gloss oil painting!
Just buy some gloss oil (transparent spray paint) and paint on the surface! When it's dried, you will be amazed by the result!
