Find My Planets - Guessing Game (Battleship style)

A guessing game inspired by the already classic Battleship pastime.

It's a 2-player game where you'll have to Discover all of your opponent's Planetary System. From its Star, to its 2 Gas Giants, its 3 Rocky Planets, and even its 5 Moons.

For this game, I've added a few "extras" to make it both more fun and lasting, as well as some learning basics on space exploration.

You will launch your Space Probes hoping to Detect or Find any of the Celestial Bodies. But do not forget about the importance of their location in space! Gas Giants are probably not going to orbit very close to its Star, and Moons will always have to orbit a Planet.

Printing Positions:

• I recommend printing all Celestial Bodies in their "use position" with supports. Ie: their "legs" pointing downwards.

• I printed my Divider with the lettering facing down to avoid imperfections in pin-holes. I used rafts which do not provide a perfect finish, but at least it secures well the prints.

• I printed the Space Probes vertically "upside down". Ie: sat vertically but starting from the smaller stick area until reaching the square. Think as a the letter t upside down. Although I'm thinking that to avoid strings and excessive post-printing, maybe laying them horizontally with tiny supports should be the way to go.

• For Deck and Launch Site you can just sit them down straight at their base.

Printing Times (0.4 Nozzle, 15% Infill, Supports & Rafts):

• Celestial Bodies take around 10-40mins, depending on their size.

• Deck and Divider can take around 7-9hrs each.

• Space Probes can take up to 2 hrs printing 100 pieces at a time.

Possible Issues:

• Space Probes don't fit tight in Divider holes

At first attempt you'll have to snuggle them a bit, or simply sharpen the end-point with some flush cutters.

• Divider doesn't fit tight in Deck

Just cut a tiny corner on one side of the Divider with some flush cutters.

• Color in Letters and Numbers

I used paint markers (POSCA type) because it's incredibly easy and painting isn't one of my virtues. For a more "pro-look", you can do a great paint/spray job and customize everything, but please share the result ;).

• Run out of Abandoned Space Probes

Obviously, just print some more! The number of Abandoned Space Probes needed stated in the Game Instructions (link above) is a calculated average. So it can vary upon the player's guessing ability. Maybe smaller kids will need much more... ¯_(ツ)_/¯
