3D model description

I needed a spool holder for the larger reels we have at our local hackspace and tried a few of the existing models here. I thought they were all a bit over complicated, so created a simpler design that builds the bearing axles into the shell.

Only 4 parts are needed to make each roller, plus x2 (608) skateboard bearings. Which means you will need x4 bearings for the pair of rollers.

Simply slot the bearings into the wheels and then lock them between the two sides. It uses friction fit, so some force may be required.

I used Innofil Pro 1 PLA for the print as it's a lot stronger than plain old PLA, but prints really well.
