TUTUGO | Coffee Cup Valve Caps

These cute little cups of coffee are made using a combination of 'normal' PLA and flexible filament, using their respective characteristics. The flexible coffee parts snap easily in place into the PLA printed cups. After that you simply press them onto your tire valves by pushing on the coffee part. Their flexibility provide a perfect grasp on the valves, as you can also see in the video.

TUTUGO's fit on all commonly used bicycle and car valves. Make sure you print the right version for yours. The cup is universal and can be used for all valve types, the coffee parts differ: There's one that fits both Presta (French) and Dunlop (Dutch or English) valves and there's one fitting Schrader (car or American) valves.

Your settings might need to be different, but here are mine:

CUP printed in Das Filament white PLA on 200°C with a 50°C heated bed on the Monoprice Select Mini*. 100% infill. 0.1 mm layer height. Fan 100%.

Latte COFFEE printed upside down, slowly in Recreus FilaFlex Skin II on 230°C with a 40°C heated bed on the Creality CR-10. 100% infill (lines) so it is stiff enough. 0.2 mm layer height. Fan 20%. Minimal to no retraction. Initial layer pattern is set to Concentric* (in Cura) to better mimic coffee.

Black COFFEE printed upside down, slowly in Polymaker PolyFlex Black on 230°C with a 40°C heated bed on the Creality CR-10. 30% infill so it's not too stiff. 0.2 mm layer height. Fan 20%. Minimal to no retraction. Initial layer pattern is set to Concentric* (in Cura) to better mimic coffee.

*I have used both Mandy (Monoprice Select Mini) and CRIS (Creality CR-10) to print all pieces, so I don't exactly know which is which in the pictures anymore.

I have tried several flexible filaments on the market (far from all) and for this specific project I found the ones above to be working the best for me, stiffness and colour availability wise. I would love to hear your experience with other filaments, as well as the ones that I've used. It might take a few tries to get it right, as you can see from my different settings above. Post-Printing
Simply snap-fit the coffee part into the cup, then place them onto your valves by pressing on the coffee part and you're on your way!

How I Designed This
All parts designed in Fusion 360. Packaging and logo first drawn on paper, then Photoshop and the screen printing, cutting, folding, assembling and gluing.

In case you're wondering why the Schrader coffee part has a thin hole going up higher than the actual valve does. This is to give the top part extra rigidity, so it better snaps in place and stays there.
